About our diamonds
What is a lab-grown diamond?
A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond. It has the same crystal structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond; the difference is its origin, because it is grown above ground rather than mined. Read more in What Is a Lab-Grown Diamond?
Are all Aetheris diamonds lab-grown?
Yes. Every diamond in Aetheris jewelry is lab-grown. Aetheris Technology Co., Limited produces loose lab-grown diamonds, and every piece begins with a stone we have selected ourselves.
Can I get the color, clarity and grading-report details of my diamond?
Color, clarity and grading-report details vary by stone. Email aetheristechhk@gmail.com before ordering and we will confirm them for the diamond in the design you have chosen.
Which diamond weights can I choose?
Diamond weight options differ by design and are listed on each product page. For example, the Four-Prong Round Stud Earrings are offered from 0.5ct + 0.5ct to 5ct + 5ct.
Which diamond shapes do you offer?
Round, oval, pear, marquise, princess, heart, emerald, Asscher and cushion, depending on the design. Our diamond shapes guide explains how each one looks.
Metals
Which metals can I choose?
Every design is available in 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold, 18K white gold, PT950 platinum and sterling silver. At Aetheris, the same design in PT950 platinum is priced slightly below 18K gold, and sterling silver is the most affordable option. Compare them in 18K Gold, PT950 Platinum or Sterling Silver.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Clean it gently with warm water, a little mild soap and a soft brush, dry it well and store each piece separately. More tips: How to Clean Diamond Jewelry at Home.
Sizing and personalization
Which ring sizes do you make?
Rings are made in US sizes 5 to 10, including half sizes. The international ring size chart converts UK, Australian, European, Japanese and Chinese sizes, and How to Find Your Ring Size at Home shows two ways to measure.
Can I choose a letter or initial?
Yes, on our initial designs. The Round Initial Pendant is offered in letters A to Z and numbers 0 to 9, and the Eternal Letter Ring and Heart Letter Necklace in letters A to Z.
How do I choose a bracelet length?
Each bracelet lists its available lengths on the product page. Measure your wrist and see How to Measure Your Bracelet Size.
Ordering, production and shipping
How long does it take to make my piece?
Every piece is made to order. Production takes 10 working days from the day your order is confirmed. Read How Made-to-Order Jewelry Works.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders cannot be cancelled once production has started.
Where do you ship?
We ship worldwide by air with tracking from our workshop in Hong Kong. When your parcel leaves, we email you the tracking number. Delivery time after dispatch depends on the carrier.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping is HK$50, free on orders of HK$10,000 or more. Express shipping is HK$200, free on orders of HK$15,000 or more. If you shop in another currency, checkout shows the converted amount before you pay. See the shipping policy.
Will I pay import duties or taxes?
Any import duties or taxes charged by the destination country are paid by the recipient.
Returns and repairs
Can I return my order?
Because every piece is made to order in the metal, stone size and ring size you choose, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind. Please check your selections carefully, and email us before you buy if you are unsure. See the refund policy.
What if my piece arrives damaged or with a defect?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging. We will repair it free of charge.
Wearing, sizing and aftercare
Will 18K gold, platinum or sterling silver mark my skin?
Solid 18K gold and PT950 platinum do not tarnish, and they rarely leave a mark. Sterling silver (S925) is 92.5% silver with copper in the alloy, so it tarnishes over time and can leave a dark or green mark on skin, especially with moisture, hand cream, perfume or chlorine. The mark is a reaction with the alloy, not a sign of a fake stone, and it washes off. Keep silver dry, store it in the pouch it arrives in, and clean it as described in Sterling Silver Jewelry Care and Caring for Jewelry So It Lasts.
Is a lab-grown diamond piece strong enough for everyday wear?
The diamond is: lab-grown diamonds are 10 on the Mohs scale, the same hardness as mined diamonds, so daily wear will not scratch the stone. The metal is the softer part. Platinum is dense and develops a soft matte patina with wear, 18K gold picks up fine surface scratches, and sterling silver is the softest of the three. Rings take the most contact, earrings and pendants the least. Take rings off for gym weights, cleaning chemicals, swimming pools and gardening — see When to Take Off Your Rings and Platinum Patina Explained.
How do I find her ring size for a surprise proposal?
Borrow a ring she already wears on that finger and measure its inside diameter, or have a jeweller measure it. That is the only method that is reliably accurate. Aetheris rings are made in US sizes 5 to 10, including half sizes, and each ring is made to the size you choose, so the size cannot be changed later. If you are unsure, email aetheristechhk@gmail.com before you order. Our ring size guide converts US, UK, EU and Japanese sizes, and Guessing a Ring Size for a Surprise covers the borrowed-ring, string and hand-size methods and how often each one is wrong.
Can a ring be resized or repaired after delivery?
Repairs for damage or a manufacturing defect are free if you contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging. Our published policies do not include a resizing service, because every ring is made to the size you order, so choose the size carefully or write to us before ordering. The full terms are in our refund policy.
How much will US customs charge, and who pays?
The recipient pays, and for a US delivery it is currently around a quarter of the item value. Aetheris jewelry is made in Shenzhen, China and shipped from Hong Kong, so US import duty is 5.5% for gold and platinum pieces or 5% for silver, plus the additional tariffs that apply to goods of Chinese origin (7.5% under Section 301 List 4A and a further 12.5% in force since 24 July 2026). The courier also charges a fee for advancing the duty, usually a minimum of about US$17.50. The US$800 de minimis exemption is suspended, so small parcels are not exempt. These are the published rates as of 18 September 2026 and they change — check the current rate with US Customs and Border Protection or your carrier before you order. Other countries are lower: the UK and EU charge 2–2.5% duty plus VAT, Japan and Singapore around 6–12% in total. Our guide to international shipping and import duties has the country-by-country detail, and the rules are summarised in our shipping policy.
What is the difference between total carat weight and centre stone weight?
Total carat weight is the weight of every diamond in the piece added together; centre stone weight is the single main stone. A pair of 1ct+1ct studs holds two one-carat stones, so 2 carats in total but one carat per ear, and a ring described as 0.2+1ct has a one-carat centre stone with 0.2 carats of smaller stones around it. Aetheris lists both parts in the diamond weight option on every product page. Total Carat Weight in Multi-Stone Jewelry explains how the two numbers change what you see on the hand.
