Turning Crest Wave Studs

Watch a wave long enough and you notice the water hardly moves. The shape moves through it. Here the water is an oval lab-grown diamond, set on its side in a half-bezel so the long edges stay open to the light. Over one upper corner a cast crest rises and curls back, polished on the outside, matte within the curl, its tip stopping just short of the stone. It is the only metal that shows above the diamond, and it is enough to say wave. The two ears mirror, each crest turning toward the face. This is the larger piece in the set, made for a stone from one carat up to three carats per ear. Design
Each stud holds a single oval lab-grown diamond set on its side in a half-bezel: two curved arcs of metal cradle the rounded ends, while the long top and bottom edges stay open to the light. From one upper corner a cast crest rises and curls back over the stone, polished on its outer face and satin within, its tip stopping just short of the diamond. The pair is mirrored so each crest turns toward the face, and sits close on the lobe with a push-back post.
