Designing a feeling of motion

To express it, the designer let the band flow instead of standing still. There are no hard angles and no rigid frame. The lines sweep, cross and continue, so the eye keeps traveling around the finger and back to the diamond. It is a quiet kind of motion, one that feels intimate rather than dramatic.

The crossover band

The band itself is a fluid crossover. Two curves of metal sweep toward each other, cross lightly and fold around the stone, like two routes that discover they share a destination and decide to travel on together. The embrace is soft; nothing about it feels clasped or forced.

That softness is the heart of the design. The metal does not grip the diamond so much as accompany it, which gives the whole ring a relaxed, organic grace.
