- Borrow a ring they already wear on the intended finger for an evening, and measure it using the at-home guide. A ring from a different finger may not match.
- Ask a close friend or family member who may know the size, or who can find it out without raising questions.
- If someone knows their size in UK, EU or Japanese sizing, the international ring size chart converts it to US sizes.
Aetheris rings are offered in US sizes 5 to 10, including half sizes. A change of mind is not a reason Aetheris can accept for a return or refund, so be sure of the size before the order is placed. If you truly cannot learn it, there is a lovely alternative: ask the question first, then choose the ring together.
Timing the ring order
Every Aetheris ring is made only after an order is confirmed, so it helps to count backward from the date you have in mind.
- Settle the details. Choose the design, metal, diamond weight option and size. Questions about a particular stone's color, clarity or grading report can go to aetheristechhk@gmail.com before you buy; leave time for the reply.
- Allow for production. Making the ring takes 10 working days from order confirmation. Weekends are not working days, so expect at least two weeks on the calendar. Once production has started, the order cannot be cancelled.
- Allow for the journey. Rings ship worldwide by air from Hong Kong, and a tracking number is emailed when the parcel is dispatched. Our shipping policy sets out the details.
- Plan for customs. Whoever receives the parcel pays any import duties and taxes, so think about where it should arrive if the surprise needs protecting.
- Keep a buffer. Give yourself extra days before the proposal, so nothing about the moment feels rushed.
